NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont University Baseball will open Ohio Valley Conference play this weekend as it hosts Morehead State for a three-day series. First pitch at E.S. Rose Park is slated for 4:00 p.m. C.T. on Friday, March 8.
LAST TIME OUT
Belmont travelled to Middle Tennessee State University on Wednesday for its first road game of the season. The Bruins jumped out to a 5-0 lead, but the Blue Raiders clawed back into the game. Belmont ultimately pulled out the 5-4 victory.
Belmont leads the all-time series 34-14 with all meetings coming under Belmont head coach Dave Jarvis. The teams first met in 1998 and have met every year since the two teams have been in the Ohio Valley Conference. Last season, the teams met at Morehead where the Eagles swept the Bruins.
