Senior Farewell

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Belmont University Baseball will celebrate its six seniors at this weekend's series against Mercer. First pitch of the series is slated for 5:00 p.m. CT Friday, May 10. 

Belmont graduation was Satuday, May 4 and five Belmont seniors walked across the stage and received their diplomas; Hunter Holland, Zach Ehrhart, Casey Queener, Devon Gardner and Chas Hadden. Senior Kyle Klotz will graduate shortly after in August. The six seniors will be recognized in a pregame ceremony at the series finale on Sunday. 

Belmont will welcome non-conference opponent Mercer for a three-game series this weekend. With the season winding down, the Bruins have a bye week in Ohio Valley Conference Play. 

Things are still tight in the race for the Ohio Valley Conference regular season title. Belmont currently sits in third place just behind Austin Peay and Jacksonville State who are tied for first with a 0.667 conference winning percentage. Both Jacksonville State and Austin Peay are playing OVC series' this weekend. 

Belmotn has turned an impressive 36 double plays this season. The mark ranks first in the OVC. Senior Zach Ehrhart (Mt. Juliet, Tenn.) has been involved in a conference-high 30 of those double plays at second base.
