Belmont is 1-3 lifetime against the Big East Conference.

The Bruins have played in Columbus, Ohio in recent memory, dropping an 85-75 decision at then 25th-ranked Ohio State Dec. 14, 2005 at Value City Arena.

Belmont defeated Florida Gulf Coast, 83-69, Mar. 3 to earn the program's fifth Atlantic Sun Tournament championship in seven years. Moreover, the Bruins join Kansas and Memphis as one of just three programs in the nation to earn five NCAA Tournament automatic bids since 2006.

Belmont, who earned Associated Press Top-25 Poll votes earlier this season, has been ranked in the Mid-Major Top 25 Poll every week this season. The Bruins have also been ranked among the nation's top mid-major programs by and throughout the season.
