ORLANDO, Fla. - - Former Belmont University men's basketball All-America Ian Clark (Memphis, Tenn.) ended an impressive week of play at Orlando NBA Summer League by leading the Miami Heat past the Detroit Pistons Friday.
Clark scored 18 points, handed out seven assists and grabbed six steals in a team-high 36 minutes as Miami earned a 90-85 triumph to close the five-game slate.
The Heat trailed by 11 points with 5:01 remaining before closing on an 18-2 run.
Clark led Miami in scoring, three-point field goals, steals and minutes played for the week.
The Memphis, Tenn. native received positive feedback from scouts, coaches and assembled media members alike at the Orlando Magic practice facility, displaying leadership and poise to match his versatile skill set and defensive prowess. For his efforts, Clark was named Second Team All-Orlando Summer League.
Clark will travel to Las Vegas and join the Golden State Warriors Summer League team beginning Saturday.
