LAS VEGAS, Nevada – Former Belmont men's basketball standout Ian Clark played a key role in the Golden State Warriors' 80-66 victory over the Sacramento Kings at the NBA Summer League in Las Vegas.
In 20 minutes of action, Clark scored 14 points, had two steals and one rebound. He had a great shooting night as he shot 50 percent from the field both in total field goals (5-10) and in three point shots (3-6). He was also 1 of 2 from the free throw line.
Golden State, who was up 12-11 after one period, outscored the Kings 29-16 in the second quarter to give them a 14 point lead at halftime. They did not relinquish the lead in the second half and cruised to the 80-66 win.
Clark and his teammates will be back in action on Tuesday as they play Milwaukee at 5:30pm CT at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Live coverage will be provided on NBA TV and NBA Summer League Live.
