LAS VEGAS, Nev. – Another solid performance by former Belmont men's basketball standout Ian Clark (Memphis, Tenn.) helped the Golden State Warriors (3-0) remain undefeated in NBA Summer League play with an 84-72 victory over the Milwaukee Bucks (2-1) on Tuesday in Las Vegas.
The Memphis, Tenn., native finished as one of the team's highest scorers after logging just over 15 minutes on the hardwood and netted 11 points, pulled down a pair of rebounds, had one steal and was a perfect 3-for-3 at the charity stripe. Clark also shot 50 percent from the floor (4-of-8).
Clark had several highlight plays, including a transition spinning layin and buzzer-beating floater to end the first half.
The Warriors led in every quarter but one, being briefly outscored in the third quarter by two points, before taking the lead for good down the stretch en route to the 84-72 win. Golden State outshot Milwaukee, netting 34 field goals to their mere 18, during the matchup.
Clark and the Golden State Warriors return to Summer League action on Wednesday at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. Live coverage will be provided on NBA TV and NBA Summer League Live.
