NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball returns to game action versus Tennessee Tech Saturday.
The Bruins defeated Jacksonville State, 103-82, Thursday. Sophomore Evan Bradds (Jamestown, Ohio) led five Bruins in double figures with 19 points and a career-high 18 rebounds.
Bradds and Tennessee Tech's Charles Jackson both rank in the top five in the OVC in rebounding and field goal percentage in league games.
Belmont head coach Rick Byrd served as an assistant coach at Tennessee Tech from 1980-83.
2014 graduates J.J. Mann of Belmont and Dennis Ogbe of Tennessee Tech were among 30 candidates for the Senior CLASS Award last year. Senior Reece Chamberlain (Goodlettsville, Tenn.) is a candidate this year.
This marks the 14th meeting between Belmont and Tennessee Tech, and fifth in OVC play. Belmont has won three of the last four meetings, with the Bruins and Golden Eagles splitting two games last season.
Tip-off is set for 2 p.m. CT from the Curb Event Center.
