NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball returns to game action Saturday versus Tennessee State.

The Bruins defeated Tennessee Tech, 88-82, Feb. 21. Sophomore Nick Smith (Bentonville, Ark.) scored 14 points as Belmont shot 65 percent from the field.

Former Bruin point guard and current Columbia State head coach Brian Collins ('06) served as a graduate assistant and director of basketball operations at Tennessee State from 2007-09.

Former All-OVC players Ian Clark of Belmont and Robert Covington of Tennessee State are enjoying solid young careers in the NBA; Clark forthe Utah Jazz and Covington for the Philadelphia 76ers.

Belmont junior Craig Bradshaw was named Capital One Academic All-America this week. He becomes the 12th Belmont men's basketball player so honored since 2001 - an NCAA best. Bradshaw holds a 3.51 GPA.

Saturday will mark the final home game for seniors Reece Chamberlain (Goodlettsville, Tenn.), Holden Mobley (Nashville, Tenn.), and Spencer Turner (Bloomington, Ind.).
