NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball continued its strong start to the 2018-19 season with a 104-50 victory over Trevecca Nazarene Tuesday.
The Bruins, after impressive victories over Illinois State, Middle Tennessee and Lipscomb, showcased their depth and balance in a workmanlike performance.
Belmont closed the first half on a 30-3 run to lead 53-20 at halftime.
In fact, the Bruins held the visiting Trojans without a field goal for a 10-minute stretch from the end of the first half into the second half.
A 3-pointer from freshman Adam Kunkel (Hebron, Ky.) made the score 82-30 with 10:39 remaining.
All 13 Bruins scored, with no player seeing more than 23 minutes of action.
Senior All-America candidate Dylan Windler had 12 points and seven rebounds in 15 minutes.
Austin Wills led Trevecca Nazarene (0-3) with 14 points.
Belmont has reached the century mark in three of its last five home games, all victories.
Belmont is 107-8 in its last 115 home games dating back to 2010.
Belmont (4-0) returns to game action Saturday, Nov. 24 at Kennesaw State. Tip-off is set for 3 p.m. CT.
