NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball returns to game action Saturday at Kennesaw State.
The Bruins defeated Trevecca Nazarene, 104-50, Tuesday. Sophomore Nick Hopkins (Fayetteville, Tenn.) and freshman Nick Muszynski (Pickerington, Ohio) each scored 16 points for the Bruins. All 13 players who saw action for Belmont scored.
Muszynski, who has scored 16 or more points in each of his first four games, was named OVC Freshman of the Week Monday. He has 14 blocked shots this season.
Belmont and Kennesaw State met 14 times as Atlantic Sun Conference foes from 2005-12.
Belmont Class of 2019 signee Ben Sheppard is a native of Atlanta, Georgia, attending Greater Atlanta Christian School.
This marks the 16th meeting between Belmont and Kennesaw State. The Bruins hold a 13-2 series lead. The teams last faced three years to the day - Nov. 24, 2015 - with Belmont claiming an 80-55 victory in the championship game of the 2015 Legends Classic Subregional.
Two-time All-American Evan Bradds ('17) was named Tournament MVP. Bradds went 22-for-26 from the field in victories over South Alabama and Kennesaw State.
