NASHVILLE, Tenn. - - Belmont University men's basketball returns to game action Thursday at UT Martin.
The Bruins defeated SIU Edwardsville, 97-75, Feb. 23. Senior All-America candidate Dylan Windler (Indianapolis, Ind.) had 18 points, nine rebounds and four assists. The 6-8 guard/forward ranks among national leaders in defensive rebounding and double-doubles, and is averaging 25.8 points and 11.7 rebounds per game over his last nine games. Windler currently ranks among OVC leaders in nine statistical categories, including first in rebounds per game (10.2) and third in points per game (20.7). He is the only player in America averaging at least 20.0 points, 10.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game.
Windler is a finalist for the Senior CLASS Award.
Senior Kevin McClain (Jennings, Fla.) likewise has delivered consistent production on both ends of the floor. The 6-3 guard has posted 24 double figure scoring games, including 13 straight games of 10 or more points. McClain is averaging 17.9 points and 4.3 assists per game in OVC play. The Jennings, Florida native had a game-high 20 points, six rebounds, six assists and two steals - and hit the game-winning shot with 2.3 seconds remaining - in Belmont's victory at UCLA.
Freshman Nick Muszynski (Pickerington, Ohio) continues to provide a quality inside presence for the Bruins. The 6-11 center has tallied 21 double figure scoring games, while handing out three or more assists in 15 games. Muszynski ranks among national leaders in field goal percentage (.604) and blocked shots per game (2.15).
Austin Luke ('18) had 19 points, 10 assists, three steals and zero turnovers in last season's victory at UT Martin - one of Luke's four career double-doubles. He graduated second in OVC history in assists (681).
Nick Smith ('17) tied the Curb Event Center single-game record for made 3-point field goals vs. UT Martin (10) (1/5/17). The Bruins set a Curb Event Center record with 14 first half 3-pointers.
This marks the 40th meeting between Belmont and UT Martin.

Belmont University men's basketball has earned postseason invitations 12 of the last 13 seasons, including seven automatic berths to the NCAA Tournament.
