DeLAND, FLA. - - Belmont men's basketball heads to Florida to take on Stetson Thursday.

The Bruins won their fifth consecutive game Feb 13. at USC Upstate, 70-57. Belmont freshman Ian Clark scored a game-high 22 points on 8-for-15 shooting while the Bruins held the Spartans to 29 percent shooting in the second half.

Freshman point guard Kerron Johnson has elevated his level of play in recent weeks. Over the last five games, the Huntsville, Ala. native is averaging 9.4 points, 3.0 assists, and 2.2 rebounds per game. Johnson has also earned his way to the free throw line, attempting a team-high 38 free throws over that span.

Traditionally known for its three-point shooting prowess and halfcourt execution, Belmont has been solid defensively all season. The Bruins lead the Atlantic Sun in field goal percentage defense (.409) and three-point field goal percentage defense (.289).

Belmont has won nine of the last 10 meetings with Stetson, including 85-71 in Nashville Jan. 4.
