Men's Golf Stands in 13th Place after Day One of the Bearcat Invitational

HEBRON, Ky. – The Belmont men's golf team stands in 13th place after day one of the Bearcat Invitational held Monday at the Traditions Golf Club in Hebron, Kentucky.

Belmont stands in 13th place after posting rounds of 304 and 296 for a 36-hole total of 600.  Kentucky is the tournament leader after day one with a score of 570.

Two Bruins rank among the top-30 after 36-holes.  Junior Elliott Wickenden is tied for 13th place after carding rounds of 76 and 69 for a 36-hole score of 145.   Sophomore Ben Simpson is tied for 23rd place after shooting a 147 on day one.  Other Belmont scores from Monday include: freshman Carson Ward (T-56th, 153), freshman Ted Moon (T-60th, 155), and freshman Adam Sanders (73rd, 159).

The third and final round will begin Tuesday morning at 7:30am CT.
