Men's Golf Stands 21st after Day One of the ASU Red Wolf Intercollegiate

JONESBORO, Ark. -- The Belmont men's golf team stands in 21st place after day one of the ASU Red Wolf Intercollegiate held Monday in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

The Bruins stand in 21st place after shooting rounds of 303 and 308 for a 36-hole total of 611. Austin Peay leads the tournament after they posted a 572 on day one.

Belmont is led by junior Elliott Wickenden, who is tied for 56th place at 149 (71-78).  Freshman Ted Moon is tied for 65th place after carding a 150 on Monday.  Other Belmont scores from day one included: sophomore Ben Simpson (T-91st, 155), freshman Carson Ward (110th, 159), and freshman Adam Sanders (116th, 163).

Freshman Chris Thurman is competing as an individual and is tied for 111th place at 160.

The third and final round will begin Tuesday morning.
