NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont men's golf program announces that Brendan Lewis has signed a National Letters of Intent and will compete for the Bruins beginning in the fall of 2018.
Lewis hails from Marion, Illinois and is presently a golfer for John A. Logan College. During his career at Logan, he has six top-20 finishes, including an individual title earlier this year at the JALC invitational. Recently, he finished 12th at Tennessee State's Big Blue Invitational and 15th at UT-Martin's Grover Page Classic. In addition, Brendan qualified for the NJCAA National Championship in 2017.
"Brendan is a great addition to our program," said Scott Flynn, Belmont's head coach. "He brings a wealth of playing experience that will be very important as we continue to develop our program."
In 11 events this season, the men's golf team has eight top-10 finishes this season. They are back in action on April 23-25 at the OVC Championship in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
