FLORENCE, Ala. – The Belmont men's golf team stands in third place after day one of the UNA Spring Classic held at Turtle Point Country Club in Florence, Alabama.
Belmont carded team scores of 290 and 286 on Monday to finish the day in third place at 576. Host North Alabama has the team lead at 566, while Jacksonville State is second at 574.
Two Bruins are among the top-20 after 36 holes. Senior Noah Trenkler had a solid day, posting rounds of 73 and 67 to finish the day in third place at 140. He is four shots behind the leader, UNA's Aaron Jackson. The highlight of Trenkler's day was in round two when he aced the 194 yard 16th hole for his second career hole-in-one.
Fellow senior Daniel Booker is tied for 14th place after shooting rounds of 73 and 71 for a total of 144.
