NASHVILLE, Tenn.– The Belmont men's tennis team lost 5-2 against Chattanooga Mocs Saturday in Chattanooga, Tenn.  

The Mocs grabbed an early lead against the Bruins winning doubles matches at the two and three. Marko Ilic and Joan Valy defeated Simon Bustamante and Kerim Hyatt 6-3 at the No. 1 spot. 

In singles, the Bruins took their second match point with a at No. 3 singles. Joan Valy defeated Hyatt 6-4, 3-6, 7-6 (10-8).   Sophomore Jake Briggs won at #5 over Jacob Marshall 8-6.  

Up next, the Bruins play their last match of the weekend tomorrow against Vanderbilt. The Commodores are 4-1 on the season with big wins against Northwestern, Drake and Penn State. First serve is set for 4:00 p.m. at Vanderbilt's Currey Tennis Center.
