NASHVILLE, Tenn.- The Belmont University men's track and field team continues its indoor season Jan. 13-14 at Vanderbilt as it competes in the Commodore Invitational.
On Friday, the meet begins with the men's and women's high hump and women's weight throw at 4 p.m. and will conclude with the men's 5000-meter run.
The first event slated for Saturday is the women's 3,000-meter relay at 9:30 a.m. and day of competition will conclude with the men's 4X400 relay.
Other entries include OVC competitors Austin Peay, Murray State, and UT Martin along with neighboring competitors MTSU, Vanderbilt, Lipscomb, and Trevecca Nazarene.
The Bruins last competed on Dec. 3, 2016, also at Vanderbilt. In the Vandy Indoor Opener, the Bruins featured five top 10 performances, led by sophomore Braden Carei's first place finish in the pole vault. Overall several Belmont competitors finished with strong marks in its season-opening event.
This weekend will be second of three meets in Nashville for the Belmont program.
