Fall Finale at McCabe

Fall Finale at McCabe

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont women's golf team wraps up their fall season on familiar ground this Monday and Tuesday as they compete at the Town and Country Invitational hosted by Tennessee State at Nashville's McCabe Golf Course.

It's been close to two weeks since the squad placed seventh at the MAC Fall Preview outside Indianapolis.  In that event, freshman Cameron Fish led BU with a 19th place finish.

Senior Emma Kate Liu leads the Bruins in scoring with a 76.8 average.  She has two top-10 finishes in three events and ranks in the top-15 in the OVC in scoring.    Freshmen Katelyn Dunstan and Cameron Fish rank second on the team in scoring, with each posting top-25 finishes in their first three events as collegians.

This week's Town and Country Invitational is a two-day, 36-hole event.  It will be played at Nashville's McCabe Golf Course on its Middle and South layouts and play to a par-70 and a length of 5,814 yards.

The field features all in-state squads: Austin Peay, Belmont, Cumberland, Freed-Hardeman, Lipscomb, Tennessee State, and Tennessee Tech.  The format for the tournament will be a unique one as all five starting golfers for each team will play together in one grouping.

First round play begins Monday morning at 10:00am.  Belmont will tee off at 11:50am.
