NASHVILLE, Tenn.  – In their final tournament of the fall season, the Belmont women's golf team finished in third place at the Town and Country Invitational held this week at Nashville's McCabe Golf Course.

The Bruins posted a team score of 301 in the final round on Tuesday to finish in third place.  Austin Peay won the team title with a mark of 578, while Tennessee Tech was second at 580.

Three Belmont golfers finished among the top-10.  Senior Emma Kate Liu continued her solid play this fall as she carded a round of 75 to finish in a tie for sixth place at 145.  It was her third top-10 finish of the fall season.  The Dallas native finished four shots behind the medalist, Reagan Greene of Austin Peay.

Junior Julia Nittoli and freshman Courtney Bryant, competing as individuals, tied for ninth place at 146.  Nittoli shot a 78 on Tuesday, while Bryant posted a 72.  The ninth place finishes were career-bests for both golfers.

Junior Carlee Nanney and sophomore Maribeth Peevy each finished in a tie for 19th place at 146, while freshmen Katelyn Dunstan and Cameron Fish tied for 26th place at 155.

This tournament ends the fall season for the women's golf team.  In four events, they posted three top-five finishes.  They will begin their spring season on March 11-12 at the WKU Lake Jovita Invitational in Dade City, Florida.
