Ninth Place Finish at Murray State

MURRAY, Ky. – The Belmont women's golf team wrapped up the regular season with a ninth place finish at the Jan Weaver Invitational held this weekend at Miller Memorial Golf Course in Murray, Kentucky.

Belmont carded a final round 313 to move up two spots to ninth place at 936.  Eastern Kentucky was the team champion at 884, while Rutgers was second at 887.

Freshman Cameron Fish paced the Bruins this weekend.  She shot a 77 in the final round to finish in a tie for 25th place at 230.  It was her third top-25 finish of the season.

Junior Carlee Nanney and sophomore Maribeth Peevy tied for 53rd place at 238.  Nanney posted an 83 in the final round, while Peevy carded a 75.

Freshman Katelyn Dunstan tied for 60th place at 239, while junior Julia Nittoli finished in a tie for 66th place at 241. 

Eastern Kentucky's Elsa Moberly was the individual medalist at 211.

The women's golf team has a week off before heading to Alabama for the OVC Championship.  It is set for April 15-17 in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
