Women's Tennis Falls to Chattanooga in Home Opener

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – The Belmont women's tennis team fell to Chattanooga 7-0 in a non-conference match played indoors on Saturday evening at the Wildwood Tennis Club in Brentwood.

The Lady Mocs picked up the first point of the match as they won two of the three doubles matches.  The lone Belmont win in doubles came at the number three position as junior Catherine Holliday and sophomore Nikki Maciel defeated Shaina Singh and Charlotte Bossy 8-7. 

In singles, Chattanooga swept all six singles matches to clinch the 7-0 match victory.

Belmont (0-3) returns to the court next Friday night as they host North Alabama.  The match is set for 5:00pm indoors at the Wildwood Club.
