Carolyn Caire Named Atlantic Sun Women's Tennis Player of the Week

MACON, Ga. – Junior Carolyn Caire was named Atlantic Sun Women's Tennis Player of the Week as announced by the conference office on Wednesday afternoon.

Caire went 3-0 in singles and 2-1 in doubles last weekend as she helped the Bruins to three wins last week (North Alabama, Western Kentucky, and Kentucky Wesleyan).   She currently leads the team in singles wins with eight.

A Nashville native, she is currently an Exercise Science major at Belmont.   This was her first Player of the Week award and the first for Belmont since January 2009 when Abby Leatherwood won the award.

The women's tennis team is back in action this Friday as they travel to Murray State for a 1:00pm match.
