Women's Tennis Falls at Kennesaw State 6-1

KENNESAW, Ga. – The Belmont women's tennis team saw their two match win streak end as they fell at Kennesaw State 6-1 in an Atlantic Sun Conference match held Saturday in Kennesaw, Georgia.

The Owls won the first point of the match as they swept all three doubles matches.  They continued their solid play in singles as they won five of six matches to clinch the 6-1 victory over Belmont.  The Bruins' lone win came at number six as Natalia Nunes beat Tamara Plochner 7-5, 4-3, retired.

Belmont (5-7, 2-1 A-Sun) will be back in action next Friday at home as they host USC Upstate at Centennial Sportsplex beginning at 1:00pm.
