NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont Women's Tennis team opens the spring season this weekend with a trio of road matches in Alabama.
Eager to get back on the road after the fall semester, the team is ready to get their feet and tennis rackets on the court for some competition. At the conclusion of the fall season, sophomore Sarah Brackin led the team with a 6-2 singles record, while fellow ssophomore Drew Hawkins was just behind with five singles victories. The freshman duo of Lauren Carelli and Peyton Lee were the top doubles' team with a 4-1 mark.
Up first, the Bruins take on the Samford Bulldogs at 5:00pm on Friday night follow by a match with UAB on Saturday at 12:00 noon. Both matches will be played in Birmingham.
Then on Sunday, the squad will travel to Tuscaloosa where they will take on the Crimson Tide of Alabama in a 4:00pm match. Live stats from the Alabama match can be found at BelmontBruins.com.
