Bruins tamed by Racers

NASHVILLE, Tenn.  – The Belmont Women's tennis team lost 6-1 against Murray State Sunday night at Nashboro Village tennis courts.  

The Racers grabbed the doubles point defeating the Bruins in all three matches.  Then in singles, sophomore Maria Plaksina was the only Bruin to grab a point for Belmont defeating Anja Loncarevic  6-2, 0-6, 6-4.

This was the first conference matchup of the season. 

Up next for the Bruins includes two away matches.  Belmont travels to Martin, Tenn. to take on UT Martin on March 29 and then will conclude the weekend against Southeast Missouri State on March 30 in Cape Girardeau, Missouri.
