NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Belmont University Volleyball will look to extend its win streak as it returns to the Curb Event Center for the final time during the regular season this weekend. For senior weekend, the Bruins (4-20,4-8 OVC) host Jacksonville State (14-12, 6-6 OVC) on Friday evening before taking on Tennessee Tech (9-17, 3-9 OVC) on Saturday afternoon.


Jacksonville State will be on the hunt for its fourth-consecutive victory when it travels to Nashville this weekend. The flurry of wins has the Gamecocks standing at 6-6 in Ohio Valley Conference play and 14-12 overall. JSU is led in kills by Lena Kindermann and Kaylee Frear, who have recorded 267 and 245, respectively. Lexie Libs leads the team in assists with a total of 1,049. Kaylie Milton and Libs lead the team in digs, notching 252 and 239, respectively.

Belmont leads the all-time series, 11-10. The Gamecocks won earlier this season in Jacksonville, 3-1.

Tennessee Tech makes the short drive to Nashville looking to snap a four-match skid. The series of losses has the team at 9-17 overall and 3-9 in OVC play. The Golden Eagles are led in kills by Ali Verzani and Rachel Thomas, who have tallied 299 and 276, respectively. Susie Jeziorowski leads the team in assists with a total of 1,015 while Kirsten Brugere leads TTU in digs with a total of 445.

Belmont leads the all-time series, 16-11.  The Golden Eagles narrowly edged the Bruins, 3-2, back in September in Cookeville.

BU will look to extend its recent win streak with its final two home matches in the Curb Event Center. Freshman Taylor Floyd (Louisville, Ky.) leads the Bruins in kills with a total of 187 and is followed by senior Maggie Mullins (Nashville, Tenn.), who has contributed 177.  Freshman Carly Mason (Forsyth, Ill.) leads in assists with a total of 402 while sophomore Akia Warrior (Ft. Worth, Texas) has recorded 339. Warrior leads in service aces with a total of 18 with seniors Mullins and Haley Sullivan (Lemont, Ill.) close behind with a total of 14 apiece.  Sullivan also leads in digs with a total of2231 followed by freshman Peyton Kelley (Normal, Ill.), who has tallied 154.

Friday's contest is set for a first serve at 6 p.m. while Saturday's match is set to begin at 2 p.m. with a Senior Day presentation before first serve.  Live stats will be available and both matches can be seen live on the OVC Digital Network.
