NASHVILLE, Tenn. – New Belmont University Volleyball head coach Katelyn Harrison announced her first addition to the Bruin sidelines on Tuesday. Middle blocker MacKenzie Harless (Brownsburg, Ind.) will join the Bruins in the fall and look to make an immediate impact.
Harless joins the Bruins after a stint at Division II St. Mary's University in San Antonio, Texas. Over her two years as a Rattler, she made appearances in 59 matches with 214 sets played and recorded 378 kills, 142 total blocks, 105 digs and 10 service aces. The 5-10 blocker finished her career with 491 points, averaging 1.77 kills per set.
The Brownsburg, Ind., native played at Brownsburg High earning All-Conference Honorable Mention and Academic All-State Honorable Mention. Harless, who played club for Circle City, helped BHS emerge as Hendricks County Champions three consecutive seasons (2014, 2015, 2016) as well as earn the Indiana 4A Conference championship title in 2014.
"I am thrilled to announce the addition of MacKenzie to the Bruin Family. She will add experience, maturity and depth to our program," Harrison said.
"She is fast laterally, and a dynamic athlete. She has had a fantastic career at St. Mary's (TX) and we could not be more excited to be a part of her future and see how much she can continue to grow."
