Women's Cross Country To Race At Commodore Classic Saturday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Belmont women's cross country team is set to compete at the Commodore Classic this Saturday at Percy Warner Park.  The Bruins will take on 23 other teams, including host Vanderbilt, which won the Belmont Opener with 18 points.

The women's five kilometer race is set for 9:30 a.m. CT at Vaughn's Gap Cross Country Course in Nashville.  Atlantic Sun foes Lipscomb and FGCU will be in competition this weekend.  The former was ranked seventh in the most recent USTFCCCA South Regional rankings.  

Senior Caitlin Standifer (Plano, Texas) led the Bruins in the first meet of the season, recording a personal record of 14:30.77 while placing ninth on the four kilometer course.  Nicole and Kimberly Muldowney (Hoover, Ala.) will help Standifer lead the BU harriers this weekend.
